Across the Generations: Closing the Gap – With four generations in the current
workplace, identifying the different values, lifestyles, and motivation for each is
important to our future success together. Learning how to sell to, market to, and
interact with other generations can help your individual career productivity. Dr.
Nicholas reveals a closer analysis of the different generations and how to best interact
and motivate one another. In this session you will learn to understand the principles
and beliefs of each generation; how to communicate with and motivate each
generation for maximum productivity; utilize effective hiring and incentive programs
across the generations.
Dr. A.J. Nicholas is an Assistant Professor in the Business Studies and Economics
Department of Salve Regina University teaching undergraduate courses in
Management including Organizational Behavior, Business Communications, Human
Resources and Business Research. Community involvement includes a Service
Learning extension of Human Resources and Business Communications courses in
cooperation with Child and Family that has Salve students working with underserved
community high school students on job and college preparations. Dr. Nicholas also
teaches graduate classes of Human Resources on campus and online. She received
her B.S. in Biology cum laude at Salve Regina University as well as a MA in Human
Resource Management and an MS in Information Systems Science. At Touro
University International, she received her Ph. D in Business Administration.
