Presenter: Reginald Humphreys, PhD

The alternative medicine approach referred to as Anthroposophical Medicine was originated by scientist and philosopher Rudolf Steiner. Steiner’s main emphasis was on the spiritual side of human existence. The presenter has previously suggested that the methods of Anthroposophical Medicine should be used as a guide or template for designing methods in other forms of mind-body medicine. The basic tenets of Anthroposophy and Anthroposophical medicine are presented, including the anthroposophical structure of the spiritual self and the nature of anthroposophical healing. The use of special suggestions to promote anthroposophical hypnosis is detailed.

During and at the conclusion of this session, the attendee will be able to:
-> Exhibit a working knowledge of the basic tenets of anthroposophical medicine, including its history, seminal contributors, and applicability to clinical hypnosis;
-> Formulate clinical cases and plan treatment interventions in terms of the principles of anthroposophical medicine;
-> Implement the antroposophical approach to treatment using hypnosis,
-> Accept clinical cases where direct attention to the patient’s spirituality is needed; and
-> Develop anthroposophical induction and treatment suggestions in their hypnotic work.
