The dental industry is rapidly evolving and to stay competitive, a practice must ensure they are compliant and that their IT is monitored, maintained, and competitive. Many practices neglect their IT or have IT vendors that are not astute to the nuances of dental IT, causing a large loss in revenue due to slow, unreliable, or unsecure IT. More importantly, most practices are unaware that their IT is not HIPAA compliant and their data is both unsecure and not properly backed up. It is more common that a dental practice has unreliable backups and HIPAA violations, especially with regard to email, than not. This course will provide attendees the knowledge of how to identify problems in their IT infrastructure, HIPAA compliance, and how to identify an IT vendor that has the capacity to properly service a dental practice.
