Sustainable agriculture is experiencing rapid growth, yet many farmers and others in the agricultural industry lack the entrepreneurial skills required to seize these new opportunities. In this session NC REAL (Rural Entrepreneurship through Action Learning) will share its experiences in developing and testing a sustainable agriculture entrepreneurship curriculum in collaboration with NC community colleges and agricultural program partners. The course, currently offered at several community colleges, helps farmers test the feasibility of new ideas and develop plans to seize opportunities in the fast growing sustainable agriculture marketplace.
