This course will address the proper classification of individuals that work for the roofing contractor as either an employee or independent contractor. This program will help roofing contractors avoid liability by instructing the contractors on the tests to determine the proper classification.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize the issue of misclassification in the industry
  • Inform the audience of those factors that tend to show an employment relationship
  • Identify factors that tend to show an independent contractor relationship
  • Review state laws on this issue and liability in the event of an audit
