26494 - How To Professionally Document Your Repairs $28.00
Select Format:

Format: MP3 Audio Download or Compact Disc

Presenter: Greg Hayne

A repair invoice should be more than a payment request.? It should also be a communication document, showing what was fixed, where the repair was made and clearly indicating if further work might be required.? This course will focus on laying out the pieces for what constitutes proper repair documentation and will include examples of what the best roofers are already doing. It will also provide examples of what not to do and why certain things should be avoided. This course will be based on commercial service, but the techniques will work equally well to residential or steep slope. It targets all size firms.

1. Identify the basics of how a building owner will use good documentation.
2. Determine the importance of before/after (and “during”) photos and how to take them.
3. Determine the importance of showing where the repair was made with either an annotated roof drawing or google aerial.
4. Determine how to teach field techs what types of pictures should be taken and what are unnecessary.
