This presentation will focus on opportunities for undertaking family research in Romania's Jewish cemeteries, including burial registers. The topics the speaker will cover include: --issues and procedures for accessing Jewish cemeteries; --overview of the physical condition of cemetery sites and headstones; --techniques for conducting research in cemeteries throughout Romania. The speaker will describe an investigation he conducted to locate documentation of the burial of a Labor Battalion victim as an example of the techniques he uses.
