The Gut, Brain and Skin Connection
Chris Kresser, L.Ac.

The connection between skin and mental health disorders has been a topic of growing interest in medicine over the past two decades, as evidenced by the rise of new disciplines like psychodermatology and neurodermatology. More recently, researchers are turning their attention to the connection between the skin and the gut. For example, studies have shown that those with acne and other skin problems are more likely to experience digestive issues like constipation, acid reflux and IBS - and vice versa. In this presentation, we'll discuss the relationship between digestive, mental/behavioral and skin disorders, and explore nutritional strategies to preventing and treating them.
