Creating a Culture for Sustainable Change From 2010 to 2013, Georgetown Hospital System?s overall rank for employee engagement and satisfaction jumped from the 67th to the 88th percentile, and survey participation among employees reached 88%. From 2012 to 2013 alone, employee engagement rose from the 73rd to the 91st percentile, and employee satisfaction rose from the 73rd to the 84th percentile. The rapid, upward trajectory was fueled by the commitment of the health system?s leaders to provide the necessary resources and support to encourage employee involvement and promote a sense of ownership.
