Virginia Tech's Human Resources Management Research Team uses a collaborative, co-inquiry research approach to address leading-edge questions combining talent management and workforce analytics. The team will be demonstrating how we add value to our partners through data interpretation and insights into new analytic methods. This presentation discusses present research work with much of which grew out of discussions from last year's conference addressing staffing and retention issues. This session will be an interactive opportunity to learn how our research team works as well as discuss how we can potentially help you address your workforce issues.

Steve Matuszak, HRM Research Group,Virginia Tech Pamplin College of Business, is an adjunct faculty member, Ph.D. candidate and HRM researcher at Virginia Tech. He is also an independent consultant, trainer, and keynote speaker.

Kevin D. Carlson, Ph.D., Interim Department Head, Department of Management, Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech, teaches courses in Human Resource Management, Productivity and Quality Improvement and Applied Human Resource Information Systems. His research interests include knowledge and its role in decision-making, the evaluation of staffing effectiveness, and the use of human resource information systems to improve organization function.
