Environmental Etiologies for Cardiovascular Diseases
Walter Crinnion, ND
Format: Video of Slides

Cardiovascular illnesses, commonly known to be "lifestyle diseases" are one of the top two causes of death in North America. The standard risk factors for these problems include high blood pressure, consuming a standard american diet, elevated cholesterol, sedentary lifestyle and smoking. While smoking has long been associated with cardiovascular disease, many other common environmental pollutants are also strong risk factors for these problems. This talk will review the old and new scientific literature showing that our toxic environment may have as much to do with CVD as ones diet and lifestyle. Methods of testing, avoidance and treatment will also be covered.
