CDC Guidelines for Infection Control in Dentistry, along with recent OSHA updates and accumulated data regarding health care risks, vaccinations, and preventive measures (i.e. hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, instrument reprocessing, disinfection, and dental water asepsis) will be the framework for this course. Proactive communication ideas to discuss with patients will also be covered. Recent evidence-based information will be discussed for certain issues where perceptions and misuse of infection control procedures and products are in conflict with scientific and clinical knowledge.
