The author will discuss the surnames of Jews from four North African countries: Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya. Currently, descendants of these Jews cover the majority of French Jews and a large portion of Israeli Jews, described in his recent book entitled "A Dictionary of Jewish Surnames from the Mediterranean Region. Vol. 1: Maghreb, Gibraltar, and Malta."
