Much has been discussed about the different generations in the workforce; however, the focus has been on various work habits. The more critical issue for those in HR systems is how technology is viewed and used by each grouping in a company. For the Boomers, technology can be viewed as a friendly foe while Gen X expects certain technology offerings to help in the daily execution of work. Millennials are looking for the latest in techno tools to keep them interested in their job. All have different working habits and expectations from the use of social networks which compound the need to understand and provide the correct technology. This panel, composed of members from each generation, will provide insight into what technology tools and applications are need to keep each generation productive in a complex business environment.

Panel Moderator:
John Hinojos, HRIP, Vice President, Consulting Services, HRchitect, works with multiple companies on technology projects where he has the opportunity to see and interact with the various work generations and experience how each uses technology and social networking.

Presenters:
Bob Chapman, HRIP, PMP, Independent Contractor, HRIS Consulting & Project Management, has 33 years of business technology experience as a manager of corporate payroll, HRIS, corporate data center, as well as consulting for internal and outsourced HR systems and services with PwC, ADP and IBM.

Shekila Lee, HR Specialist (Information Systems), National Institute of Health, has two years of experience as the Office of Human Resources (OHR) Information Security Project Lead and has served on the OHR Internet Technologies Team. She has used social media to help promote internal HR initiatives.

Lisa Sinyard, HRIP, HRIS Manager, BCD Travel, has over 15 years of experience within the HR arena with focus on HRIS/HRIT where she specializes in Core HR processes and how HRIS/HRIT can assist with the overall direction and function of those processes within the organization.
