As schools move to standards-based performance assessments, rubrics are being used to evaluate student performance. Rubrics show students how their work will be evaluated and what is expected. Rubrics also provide useful feedback regarding the effectiveness of the instruction. This workshop will provide fire and life safety educators with an understanding of how to develop and implement rubrics that boost student learning and achievement.
