NFPA will be releasing its first commissioning document, NFPA 3, in October of 2011 and has begun working on a sister document, NFPA 4, to handle integrated system testing. There is a lot of controversy over the differences between the two concepts and whether or not integrated testing infringes upon the scope of other design documents, such as NFPA 13 and NFPA 72.
