The goal of this workshop will be to develop a research roadmap for the behavior of building occupants during fire events. This will be accomplished by asking practitioners what specific data and information they need to design evacuation systems and to simulate evacuation during fire events. The information gathered will directly inform a research plan on this topic. The workshop will be hosted by the Fire Protection Research Foundation and co-hosted by NFPA and NIST.
