Surgery provides upward of 60% of Hudson Valley Hospital Center?s revenue. Medical technology advancements existed that would allow HVHC to compete in selected surgical service lines with larger institutions and even regional tertiary hospitals. To achieve this, the hospital?s OR, Ambulatory Surgery Unit and PACU embarked on a ?High-Tech, High-Touch? mission, achieving a patient satisfaction ranking above the 95th percentile while developing new service lines and increasing case load.
