Delivering Compassionate Connected Nursing Care This session will highlight the interdisciplinary approach utilized by a major academic medical center emergency department to address the walk-out rate of the department. Key drivers of this initiative were the overall patient experience and the need to implement change that would decrease the department?s rate of patients who left without being seen (LWBS). Press Ganey survey comments were also a key driver of the need for change around the management of patient and family expectations and improving flow.
