How do local anesthetics work, and why don?t they always work? This course will touch upon safe dosages and possible interactions of local anesthetics with patient medical conditions and medications. The instructor will discuss the controversy surrounding use of articaine and prilocaine and management of possible complications, including nerve paresthesia. Attendees will learn about new anesthetic buffering for faster onset, reversing agents, and delivery devices in the context of daily practice practicality.
