One way that OSHA can issue a citation without a specific regulation dealing with the hazardous condition is the use of the General Duty Clause (GDC) found in the text of the Occupational Safety and Health Act. This seminar will describe the nature of those citations, what OSHA is required to prove, what are some examples of common application of this process in the construction industry, and how can they be avoided. This session is presented at an intermediate level.
