Description:

Managing and installing electrical circuits within a health care occupancy requires a precise knowledge of the National Electrical Code® (NEC).  The NJATC Health Care Systems training program has been developed in the interest of promoting greater understanding and increasing electrical safety for systems in health care facilities. This presentation simplifies the often complex subject matter by breaking it down into multiple segments primarily based on the provisions set forth in the National Electrical Code-2008. This 4-hour presentation will help attendees establish a thorough understanding of the technical and Code requirements contained in NEC Article 517 that apply to all wiring installations in health care facilities. Introductory information is also provided about the basic requirements and structure of the NFPA 99, Standard for Health Care Facilities and the history of how Article 517 evolved in the NEC. This presentation, which is conveyed in easily understood language, is a must for those who wish to keep informed and increase their expertise in the specific electrical requirements involved in the health care environment.
