Abstract
This presentation will review the 2009-2010 influenza season with emphasis on the H1N1 pandemic and its effect on pregnant women. The reasons for increased risk of complications in pregnant women and infants, the potential for decreased infant disease related to maternal vaccination, and the role of healthcare worker immunization will be discussed. The presentation of a HCW mandatory influenza program will include a historical review of national HCW vaccination trends, details of CHOP's program, and a review of a post-program survey assessing attitudes of healthcare workers (HCWs).

2. Describe two effective strategies to increase influenza vaccination among healthcare workers (HCWs).
