This seminar will address the following questions -How do you get into HRIS? What types of positions exist in HRIS? What can I do to and what do I need to know to enhance my HRIS career? Although the presenters will be talking specifically about HRIS careers in the federal government, this information can be applied to anyone who is seeking to advance in an HRIS career in the private or public sectors.

Presenters:
Kevin Murphy, HRIP, Director of the HR Systems, Analytics and Information Division, Office of Human Resources of the National Institutes of Health, leads development, implementation and support of NIH's HR information systems. In 2010, his group was awarded the IHRIM Partners Award for their support of IHRIM and its educational offerings.

Tim Newman, HRIP, Associate Director, HR Systems and Business Transformation, Office of Civilian Human Resources (US Navy), has over 10 years experience as a combined federal and private sector HRIS leader. Before the US Navy, he held positions with NIH as a project lead and branch chief.
