NFPA 720: Standard for the Installation of Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detection and Warning Equipment—the Carbon Monoxide Code— has under gone significant changes in this new cycle, which will be of interest to many attendees.

Bay Community College,A life member of NFPA, he is on the following NFPA code Committees: NFPA-72 Fundimentals Chapter, NFPA-72 TCC, NFPA-25, NFPA-76, NFPA-909, NFPA-3.Member of the NFPA Board of DirectorsLieutenant Comander, U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps.

Richard Roberts is Industry Affairs Manager at System Sensor/Honeywell Life Safety. With over 25 years in the fire alarm and carbon monoxide market, his experience spans the installation, sales, and product development of code-compliant products and systems. Currently, Mr. Roberts is a member of the following committees: NFPA 720 Technical Committee, Underwriters Laboratory Standards Technical , Panel (STP) 2034, Single and Multiple Station Carbon Monoxide Alarms, CSAA Carbon Monoxide Supervising Station Response Standard Committee, NFPA 72 Single- and Multiple-Station Alarms and Household Fire Alarm Systems Technical Committee, NFPA 101 Residential Occupancies Technical Committee, NFPA 101 Health Care Occupancies Technical Committee, NFPA 101 Building Service and Fire Protection Equipment Technical Committee and NFPA 5000 Technical Correlating Committee.
