Insurance Services Office, Inc. (ISO) has embarked on updating its Fire Suppression Rating Schedule (FSRS) used to analyze community efforts to mitigate the loss from fire. Many components of the process have been strengthened to recognize current applicable NFPA standards, new technology, and best practices. New content has been added such as evaluating community risk reduction programs dealing with codes and enforcement and deployment analysis of fire apparatus. You will learn about key updates during this session and also find out how you can receive further education about the FSRS.

Fred Brower, Manager at Insurance Services Office, Inc. has been with ISO for 37 years where he recently headed up the team updating ISO's "Fire Suppression Rating Schedule." He is a graduate of the University of Maryland. Fred also belongs to the College Park Volunteer Fire Department, and served as Fire Chief and was a Prince George's County Volunteer Division Chief. Fred is a member of the IAFC and a Life Member of the NFPA.
