Understanding and implementing the requirements of NFPA 25: Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water- Based Fire Protection Systems is critical to any successful and costeffective compliance program. The 2011 edition of NFPA 25 contains substantial revisions. This session reviews the scope of the standard and the roles of the owner, AHJ, and inspector as clarified in the new edition. Additionally, major revisions such as fire pump testing frequency, the rating of deficiencies, the maintenance of dry systems, and system air tests are examined. Stay ahead of the game by having the latest information for the maintenance of water-based suppression systems.
