RoofPoint is a voluntary, consensus-based green rating system developed by the Center for Environmental Innovation in Roofing to provide a means for building owners and designers to select nonresidential roof systems based on long-term energy and environmental benefits. To fulfill this mission, RoofPoint provides a simple, transparent and professional measure to ensure that new and replacement roof systems are designed, installed and maintained in accordance with the best sustainable practices available today. Session material geared towards commercial contractors and is applicable to companies of all sizes.

John Geary, Vice President of Marketing, Firestone Building Products Company is committed to listening to the voice of the customer in order to deliver and enhance the company's innovative portfolio of existing and new building products. Since graduating from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors of Science in Marketing, John has worked in sales, technical and marketing positions for distinguished contractors, distributors and manufacturers in the roofing industry gaining knowledge and experience. John actively participates in several industry associations. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Center for Environmental Innovation in Roofing (CEIR) which developed the RoofPoint green roof rating system and the EPDM Roofing Association (ERA). He is also on the Board of Directors for the Polyisocyanurate Insulation Manufacturers Association (PIMA). He is an enthusiastic advocate of the roofing industry and energy efficiency opportunities within the built environment. John has been a guest speaker at events for local, regional and national chapters of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), Roof Consultants Institute (RCI) and Construction Specifiers Institute (CSI).
