Next Generation Sequencing of the Y chromosome revolutionized Y-DNA research. The volume of data generated by tests like the Big Y has expanded the Y haplotree exponentially. Now the next generation of Next-Gen sequencing, Big Y V2, promises to increase the fidelity of data and add more granularity to the Y haplotree. This presentation will look at the growth of the Y haplotree and how these recent developments are changing the way we look at paternal-line testing.
