MDS CLINICIAN CORNER This course will describe etiology, symptoms, co-morbidities, and prevalence of Obstructive Sleep Apnea in the population. Patient questionnaire topics will be highlighted for assessing possible indicators for sleep study. Oral manifestations detected in the comprehensive clinical exam will be reviewed. CPAP appliance therapy and OAT will be described and compared. Definitive patient management protocols will be discussed which will keep the dentist within legal guidelines for treatment.
