As schools actively recruit veterans, are they prepared to understand and to meet their needs? This session will focus on programs that help veterans transition from military to college successfully in terms of academic and social interactions. Resources, on and off campus, may be needed to accomplish this transition and it can be challenging to implement new programs in times of budget constraints. Session presenters will discuss the challenges faced and steps taken to ensure these students view their campuses as "veteran friendly."
