Dyslipidemia will be defined based on new basic science and clinical research. Inflammation, oxidative stress, immune dysfunction and the role for advanced lipid testing using LDL and HDL particle size and number and dysfunctional HDL are reviewed in the context of the pathophysiology of vascular damage. A new approach to address proper management of lipids and improvement in the overall approach based on the underlying causes of dyslipidemia-induced vascular disease will give the attendees new insights in methods to effectively reduce CVD. This new and revolutionary approach includes 38 different treatment methods that interfere with ALL of the various steps related to dyslipidemia-induced vascular damage. An integrative approach to the treatment of dyslipidemia, combining nutrition, life style changes and nutritional supplements to reduce CV events will be reviewed based on human clinical evidenced based and peer review publications.
