Often researchers hit the wall while looking for conventional resources to try studying a family or a town history. Nazis and other enemies were deliberately destroying the documented proves of the Jewish presence in different areas. Thus vital statistical records or censuses for some towns and even wider territories are non-existent. However, other sources that survived due to their non-specifically Jewish context or being kept in the places that one does nor logically expect them to be, may help. Such sources are military, legal, notary, land, insurance, tax, etc. records. Speaker will share his personal experience of finding, dealing with and interpreting such documented resources, show the scans of the recent findings and how they could be applied.
