This course will update the dental professional on the latest information pertaining to infectious diseases that may be encountered in the clinical practice. High risk populations will be discussed including diabetics, immunocompromised patients, and the elderly. Many common infectious pathogens such as ?herpes viruses, HPV, hepatitis, flu, and various bacteria will also be reviewed. A discussion of antibiotic overuse, abuse, and misuse will also be included. ?
