The successful conclusion of a fire-related death/homicide investigation relies heavily on cooperation between law enforcement, fire investigators, and medical examiners. Detective Eric Emmanuele and Certified Fire Investigator Jeremy Davis will use case studies, video clips, and photos as they discuss the responsibilities of these three major disciplines and other professionals at the scene of a fatal fire/homicide investigation. Also discussed will be NFPA 901 and 1033, which many law enforcement professionals are unaware of, as well as multiple built-in contradictions between most police and fire investigations.
