The use of natural gas vehicles (NGVs) is rapidly expanding in the United States. Building owners, fire marshals, and other regulatory authorities are often unfamiliar with the six major codes--plus industry best practices--with which maintenance facilities for such vehicles must conform. This presentation will discuss real-world evaluations, applications, and integration of the fire, building, mechanical, and electrical code requirements for vehicle maintenance facilities where natural gas vehicles--either compressed or liquefied natural gas--will be maintained and repaired.
