This presentation will provide an overview of NFPA 1730, Standard on Organization and Deployment of Fire Prevention Inspection and Code Enforcement, Plan Review, Investigation, and Public Education Operations to the Public. Included will be specific examples of how the tables in the standard can be used to analyze data and prioritize fire prevention needs. It will demonstrate that the standard can be useful to all types of fire prevention organizations--not just municipal departments.
