Expert witnesses are the lynchpin of fire and explosion cases: an expert who is insufficiently qualified or performs poorly during an investigation or in the heat of litigation can jeopardize even a most promising case. This panel discussion will provide a review of NFPA 921 and 1033, presenting various perspectives on how the documents apply to the investigation phase and the deposition and trial testimony phase. Fire investigators attending will be better prepared to conduct investigations and testify in a deposition or trial.
