Noble simplicity of the rites is a principle expressed in the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy (no. 34). The USCCB document Built of Living Stones: Art, Architecture and Worship expands this idea by encouraging the criteria of "quality and appropriateness" in liturgical art and environment (BLS no. 146). This workshop will explore both of these principles and how they can be implemented to develop a liturgical environment that fosters and supports the full, conscious and active participation of the faith community.
