Biological Controls – A Greener Solution - John Sanderson

John Sanderson, Cornell University Ithaca, New York

Integrated pest management (IPM) is an ecologically based, environmentally conscious method that combines, or integrates; biological and nonbiological control techniques to suppress weeds, insects, and diseases. Biological control utilizes natural enemies such as parasites, predators, pathogens, or competitors deriving the energy directly from the pest themselves. Dr. Sanderson will illustrate the newest findings related to biological insect control.
