Our most artistic staff members may be out in the yard creating spectacular displays, but are those displays paying homage to their design skills or actually selling more plants? This spring, Bemis Farms Nursery challenged its "Inspiration Manager" to create displays that did both. And by changing the way we wrote some of our signs, we switched from passive selling through beauty to explaining why the plants in the display worked together, giving customers the confidence to design their own gardens.
