Regulatory and enforcement action by OSHA directly affects what a contractor must do to keep his/her workers safe and avoid non-compliance penalties from the agency. Although new rule making has been limited during the current administration, OSHA maintains its enforcement focus and compliance efforts on fall prevention, silica exposure and heat illness prevention. Contractors must be aware of critical activity in those areas. As we get closer to IRE, I will have a more specific idea of what issues the agency is focusing on for 2020 and can develop a better descriptive and more focused objectives. This session will be presented at all levels.
