Creating a Culture for Sustainable Change
There are two kinds of people on every team: ducks and eagles. Ducks quack and eagles soar. To improve your leadership and create a great team, train your team members to be eagles. This session will highlight the cultural challenges of initiating strategies to improve the patient experience, focusing on how the Emory Healthcare Service Performance team implemented a change process for aligning actions. They used coaching, patient-satisfaction priorities and Magnet Recognition Program? strategies to achieve consistent success. Presenters will describe the unique coaching tools developed to prevent conflicting messages and short-term bumps in scores, and they will discuss the importance of collaborating on nursing excellence across the system.
