Yuma Regional Medical Center expanded from a 41-bed emergency department to 72 beds in the pursuit of better care experiences and shorter wait times?only to find that the expansion didn?t address the root causes behind wait times and negative patient experiences. Learn how the team at Yuma opened their ears to patient comments and social media, and leveraged these insights to ignite change. Using analysis to understand the top opportunities for improvement, the team deliberately structured a strategic program to address patient experience, employee engagement, and process design to achieve the experience and outcomes ED patients and the community deserve.
