In this day and age of demand for transparency, practitioners are casting a jaundiced eye on the plethora of surveys available for decision making about HR technologies and for surveys with data used in workforce analytics. Practitioners are, or should be, demanding both transparency and a heightened rigor of survey methodology. This session will explore why some surveys are good, how to effectively use their material in decision making, and what to look for with surveys. In this session, hear about the methodologies behind the longest running HR systems survey from CedarCrestone, behind the renowned Mercer Total Remuneration Survey, perhaps the most valid survey of all. The session will also include a practitioner whose organization uses surveys.

Panel Moderator:
Lexy Martin, Director, Research and Analytics, CedarCrestone, is responsible for its annual HR Systems Survey, now in its 14th year. When not working on the survey, she provides strategy, business case, and metrics and analytics services, along with deep dive benchmarking in all industries.

Presenters:
Tom Jacob, Senior Partner, Mercer, serves as the global leader of product management and innovation for the Information Products Solutions division and has overall accountability for almost 300 distinct HR information intelligence, software and software-as-a-service products.

Jacqueline Kuhn, HRIP, President, Kuhn Consulting Group, has spent 25 years in the Human Resources and IT professions with focus on delivering HR solutions through technology enablement. Her core expertise includes HR technology strategy, software selection and implementation, and application management.
