"Hypnosis and Biofeedback have distinctly different histories and yet share substantial common ground as pillars of self-regulation. In the area of pediatric complimentary medicine, problems in areas such as pain, asthma, IBS and other stress related conditions have been treated successfully with hypnosis, biofeedback and the combination of these two approaches. This workshop will allow participants to have hands-on experience with multiple biofeedback instruments and observe a number of different hypnotic approaches applicable to Pediatric Integrative Medicine.

During and at the conclusion of this session, the attendee will be able to:
-> Identify and measure at least 3 psychophysiological responses related to adverse physical symptoms;
-> Identify and use at least three hypnotic interventions used in Mind-Body Medicine;
-> Assess when to use hypnosis, biofeedback or an integration of these approaches with specific health concerns; and
-> Create a list of available resources to begin integrating hypnosis and biofeedback in clinical practice."
