Chapter 8 of NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems, contains a wealth of information necessary for a sprinkler system to be properly installed, but is often difficult to navigate. Some sections of the chapter apply to all sprinklers, while others apply only to specific types. The chapter also contains special or miscellaneous requirements for other system components. This session will provide a 'road map' to the installation requirements chapter, easing confusion of the largest--and and arguably most important--chapter of the standard.
