The latest edition of the NFPA standard that addresses protection of commercial cooking has been approved by the Standards Council. This session will help bring attendees up to speed with this latest edition.

As a Chief Fire Protection Specialist, R. T. Leicht currently serves Delaware's State Fire Marshal's Office as the Chief of Technical Services. He has been in the fire protection industry, both the public and private sectors, since the mid 1970's. Mr. Leicht holds a Bachelors Degree in Fire Protection and a Masters in Public Safety. Mr. Leicht is a Certified Fire Inspector, a Certified Fire Protection Specialist and recipient of the International Fire Marshal's Meritorious Service Award. He is also a Life member of NFPA and a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers since 1973. Whitey presently serves as Vice President of the International Fire Marshals Association and serves on a number of NFPA Technical Committees including NFPA 96.
