Description:

Repairers are under increasing pressure from customers and insurers to reduce cycle time, improve quality and reduce costs.  While most repairers understand the benefits of high quality alternative parts, their current challenge is finding them.  This challenge is intensified as they experience greater part usage requirements.

Over the years, shops have experienced problems when ordering CAPA-certified parts and receiving non-certified parts.  Unfortunately, the frequency of substitutions is increasing and the use of a substitute part without disclosure can lead to many issues.  A panel representing all points of the supply chain will discuss: who is liable, why do distributors make substitutions, is there a lack of certified parts, why do manufacturers produce more non-certified parts than CAPA-certified parts, and much more.
