Texas Children?s began a journey to improve patient access in August 2017. The main focus of this initiative was to improve the patient scheduling experience and allow patients to make an appointment with outpatient specialty services at the desired time and location within the Texas Children?s system. The speakers will share how leaders created strategic work groups to assess the issue, developed a strategy to implement technology and process enhancements around improving access and patient scheduling, and gained buy-in from the top down, while aligning the program to organizational goals.
